Nine-year-old bullying victim with one arm scores 11 tries at rugby festival in Wales

A nine-year-old boy with one arm has shown up his bullies at a rugby festival in the UK at the weekend, bagging 11 tries.

Shay Dunster's mum, Donna, says he loves playing the game despite being bullied for his disability in the past.

Donna explained that her son was worried after moving to tackle rugby, after he started playing tag rugby three-years-ago.

"He was on fire at the festival," she told WalesOnline.

The Welsh mother said it was "amazing" to see her son, who was born with half a left arm, play so well.

"It is great because it gives him so much more confidence, especially as he had been bullied in the past."

The team he plays for say he had been bullied so badly in the past, he wanted to stop playing, WalesOnline reports.

"With a lot of encouragement he is still playing, he doesn't get treated any differently to the rest of the team and goes out on that field every week and gives it his all," a spokesman for his Trefil under-10's team said.

The spokesman told WalesOnline he was proud of Shay.

"Shay is a prime example that a disability doesn't define you as a person."

His cousin, Lois Morgan, said on Twitter he was her "little superstar".
