ITM Auckland SuperSprint
Race Two - 70  laps

So McLaughlin, SVG and Richie Stanaway finish in the top 10 .... best weekend for Stanaway as a full time driver with two top 10 finishes.

Final lap: McLaughlin brings his Mustang home first and breaks Craig Lowndes season race wins record. SVG home in second with Mostert third. Van Gisbergen wins the Jason Richards Trophy.

Lap 68: 2.2 seconds the gap for McLaughlin now....Mostert under pressure from Percat.

Lap 65: Winterbottom has jumped back in front of Stanaway and Golding ... he is sixth on track but has a 15 second time penalty .. but he's 17 seconds ahead of the GRM pair.

Lap 64: SVG is catching McLaughlin but the gap is still just over a second with Mostert and Percat three second further back.

Lap 60: McLaughlin, SVG, Mostert, Percat, Hazlewood, Pye, Simona, Stanaway, Golding, Kelly and Coulthard is the order.

Lap 56: Coulthard stalking Kelly for 11th .. the Penske driver's race ruined by the safety car nonsense early doors.

Lap 53: If things stay as .... McLaughlin would win his 17th of the season ... a new record and SVG would win the Jason Richards Trophy.

Lap 52: Percat still leads but he has to stop again .... he's in now. McLaughlin will lead from SVG, Mostert, Hazlewood, Pye, Simona, Stanaway and Golding

Lap 46: Mark Winterbottom has a 15 second time penalty for speeding in the lane - he was having a great race up in 6th spot so bad luck for him.

Lap 45: Percat leads Hazlewood - they both need to stop again from McLaughlin, SVG, Mostert, Pye, Winterbottom, Simona, Stanaway and Golding.

Lap 41: McLaughlin pits from the lead and gets back out in front of SVG anmd Mostert.

Lap 39: Whincup pits for the final time .... Stanaway gets by teammate Golding for 11th as SVG also pits.

Lap 37: Mostert pits for the final time. McLaughlin leads by just over a second from SVG.

Lap 33: Pye, Stanaway, Kelly and Waters make their final stops. McLaughlin leads SVG, Mostert, Percat, Hazlewood, Courtney, Whincup and De Pasquale.

Lap 31: Holdsworth and Heimgartner make their final stops as does Simona and Slade.

Lap 29: Reynolds is back out seven laps down. Coulthard and Davison are heavy fuelled so should be able to jump a few when everyone else pits. McLaughlin has stretched the lead to just over a second.

Lap 26: McLaughlin leads SVG by under a second from Mostert, Percat, Hazlewood and Pye. Heimgartner is 11th, Stanaway 15th and Coulthard 17th.

Lap 24: Drive Thru for Whincup for passing the safety car and casing all of this mess.

Lap 23: The order is all over te place as some guys ducked in and made an extra stop under yellow ... Coulthard, Davison and De Pasquale.

Lap 20: Whincup leads McLaughlin by 5 seconds from SVG, Mostert, Percat, Hazlewood, Pye, De Selvestro, Winterbottom and Holdsworth .... Whincup might get a penalty for passing the safety car.

Lap16: Okay so everyone has pitted under caution .... there is some serious confusion around the order as the safety car picked up Holdsworth instead of Whincup and nopw everyome is out of position ..... very confusing ..  I'll work it out shortly.

Lap 13: Whincup pits from the lead and what a perfect time as the safety car is out ... Reynolds has stopped on track.

Lap 12: De Pasquale and Davison pit.

Lap 9: Whincup, McLaughlin, SVG, Mostert, Davison, Percat, Winterbottom, Hazlewood, Golding and Stanaway is the top 10 .... Holdsworth, Coulthard, Waters, Heimgartner and Slade have all pitted.

Lap 8: Waters pits .... Whincup leads McLaughlin by 4 seconds at the front.

Lap 7: Holdsworth, Coulthard, Heimgartner and Slade pit early.

Lap 4: Whincup has a second lead over Holdsworth .... as it was behind him, Stanaway up to 14th from 16th.

Race start: Coulthard makes a gain at the start and is up to 3rd .... Whincup leads Holdsworth from Coulthard, Waters, McLaughlin and SVG.

4:09pm - Whincup is as good a front runner as any in Supercars history so he will be a big favourite today .... look out for the Kiwis coming from 4th, 5th and 6th. Minutes away from the start.

Whincup, Mostert, SVG, McLaughlin, Davison, Holdsworth, De Pasquale,Hazlewood and Heimgartner. The rain is coming so that might be our ten. Coulthard is 14th and Stanaway is 16th.

11:17am: Going to be really interesting to see if the Penske boys have found that little bit of straight line speed they were missing yesterday ..... I'm not convinced. My predection is SVG on pole from Whincup, Mostert and McLaughlin.

11:06am: Hello folks - Just an update on yesterday ... Jamie Whincup copped a 15 second penalty for causing a first lap collision. As a result he dropped to fifth, promoting Cam Waters, David Reynolds and Scott McLaughlin up a spot.

Today's schedule is as follows:
11:20am - Supercars qualifying
1:40pm - Supercars Top Ten Shootout
4:10pm - Auckland SuperSprint - Race Two

Welcome to live coverage of the second day of race action from Pukekohe Park in Auckland.

Kiwi Shane Van Gisbergen scored a third straight Saturday Auckland SuperSprint win yesterday, and is highly motivated to claim the Jason Richards Trophy for the second time.

Championship leader Scott McLaughlin did a good job yesterday in limiting the damage yesterday and actually extended his championship lead to 586 points.

But Holden is clearly back on track after a number of aerodynamic changes so the contest will be as close as ever.
