Wellington Phoenix defender Liberato Cacace will miss two games after being suspended following a red card act on the weekend.
The fullback was sent off in the 81st minute of the Nix's 2-1 A-League loss to Sydney FC on Sunday.
The Match Review Panel decided to add an additional match to the mandatory one-match ban usually assigned for a red card.
The 19-year-old slid in studs-up on Sydney forward Anthony Caceres, who was lucky not to have suffered a serious leg injury given the recklessness of the tackle.
The club chose not to appeal the extended ban, meaning Cacae will miss a home clash with Perth Glory and an away trip to Melbourne City.
