Silver Ferns v Australia: NZ captain Laura Langman undecided on international future

Silver Ferns captain Laura Langman hasn't made a decision on her international future, despite re-signing with Sunshine Coast Lightning in the Australian national league.

The 33-year-old faced a trans-Tasman pavlova-making competition with the Australian Diamonds in Christchurch, before their opening Constellation Cup match on Sunday.

The match will be their first meeting since the Ferns' World Cup triumph in Liverpool in July.

But Langman wasn't elaborating on her availability for the rivalry much longer, saying she would decide next year.

"I know I've got the Lightning, and that will take me through to July and I'll re-evaluate," Langman said.

She ended retirement speculation on Thursday, announcing she'd committed to another season with the 2019 Super Netball runners-up.

"It's really special to play alongside this group of women and I feel honoured to be able to represent Lightning again next year," she said. "2019 has left a fire in the belly and I'm excited for what next season has in store."

Langman's return means the team retains 10 players from last season's campaign, with new coach Kylee Byrne replacing Taurua at the helm.
