Blackcaps v Australia: New Zealand acclimatise to scorching Australian conditions

Forty degree temperatures and a rock hard Perth pitch await the Blackcaps, as they prepare for Thursday's pink ball test against Australia.

The team is getting used to its surroundings, and that's involved taking in some world famous local sights.

Optus Stadium has only hosted the one test - a win to Australia over India last year - with the wicket expected to play like its predecessor the WACA with plenty of pace and carry.

Controversial Australian opener David Warner said he's prepared for anything.

"When you get the prospect of cracks in a pitch you get excited about it," Warner claimed. 

"As a batsman, you get rid of the visuals. If it hits a crack - so be it."
