Kia ora, good morning and welcome to Newshub's live coverage of the Boxing Day test between the Blackcaps and Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

On day two of the event, the Blackcaps eventually bowled Australia out for 467, before finishing the day on 44/2.

Australia will look to lock away the trans-Tasman trophy with victory at the MCG, having won the first test by 296 runs earlier this month.

This match marks the first time the Blackcaps have played in the Boxing Day test at the MCG since 1987. Just five of New Zealand's squad were born when the team last graced the MCG on Boxing Day.

Play on day three will get underway at 12:30pm.
