Kiwi Steven Adams has suffered a minor knee injury during Oklahoma City Thunder's latest NBA clash on Thursday.

Adams left the court in the second quarter and didn't return, after an awkward collision with Toronto Raptors centre Marc Gasol.

Adams limped to the locker room, with the Thunder later reporting the big man had suffered a "right knee contusion".

It's unclear if the 26-year-old's injury required a hospital visit or how long Adams is expected to be sidelined.

The NBA-champion Raptors won the match 130-121, dropping OKC to 23-18 for the season, still good enough for seventh in the Western Conference.
