Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly pays his wife-to-be €100,000 (NZ$162,000) per month.

A report citing Spanish television channel Telecinco has revealed Ronaldo gives fiancée Georgina Rodriguez between $85,000 and $162,000 to take care of the children and cover her expenses.

According to Forbes, Ronaldo, 35, earned $109 million last year, so while $162,000 might seem like a considerable amount, it's probably peanuts to the football star.

Corriere dello Sport says Rodriguez also earns NZ$13,600 per Instagram post, where she boasts nearly 17 million followers.

Ronaldo is second on Forbes' athlete rich list, behind Argentinian footballer Lionel Messi and ahead of Brazilian Neymar.

The Portugese star signed with Italian club Juventus in 2018.

"Ronaldo keeps on scoring and that is good for his state of mind," said Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri, following a 3-0 win against Fiorentina earlier this month.

"He’s in great physical shape and is making the difference," said Sarri.
