Tokyo Olympics: Triathlete's Kiwi ingenuity keeps Olympics training on track

While the country's top athletes have had to be innovative in their training during the nationwide lockdown, one of our leading triathletes may have taken the cake.

Nicole van der Kaay's father has built her a custom-made swimming pool in the deer shed of her family's Taupo farm, helping ensure that her Tokyo Olympic preparation stays on track.

"I wasn't expecting him to actually build one, but he said, 'Let me see what I can do' and a day later, he'd built me a pool," she told Newshub.
