NRL 2020: NZ Warriors' Agnatius Paasi facing two-match ban

NZ Warriors forward Agnatius Paasi is facing a two-match ban, after being charged with dangerous contact.

Paasi was pinged for an incident involving Dragons half Corey Norman in the 42nd minute of the Warriors' dominant 18-0 win in Gosford on Saturday.

The 28-year-old came in contact with Norman's legs after a clearing kick with a tackle that was deemed late and subsequently penalised by the referee.

He can reduce the suspension to one match with an early guilty plea.

Paasi was one of a handful of standouts in an imposing effort from the Warriors forwards, who had the upper hand over the star-studded Dragons pack.

His loss would further deplete an already shallow pool of healthy Warriors forwards, which has already forced the recruitment of Roosters prop Poasa Faamausili on a month-long loan deal.

On Friday, the Warriors will take on the Penrith Panthers at Campbelltown Stadium, then the North Queensland Cowboys back in Gosford the following Friday.
