American heavyweight contender Jarrell 'Big Baby' Miller has failed yet another performance-enhancing drug test.

Last June, Miller was due to face unified heavyweight title holder Anthony Joshua , but failed several drugs tests. His place was taken by Andy Ruiz Jnr, who went on to cause one of the biggest upsets in boxing history.

The 31-year-old was set to make his long-awaited return to the ring in July against compatriot Jerry Forrest, but the fight has been called off after Miller's latest test.

The Athletic reports Miller tested positive for GW1516, which boosts endurance and helps athletes burn fat. He also took the substance in the build-up to the Johsua fight.

Promoter Carl Moretti told ESPN that he was aware of the situation and working on a replacement opponent for the main event on July 9.

Miller has not fought since a November 2018 win over Bogdan Dinu and will now likely be out of action for an indefinite period.

On top of testing positive for GW1516 before the Joshua fight, a blood sample collected by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) on March 31, 2019, found the American had tested positive for human growth hormone (HGH), which is on the World Anti-Doping Agency banned list.

A urine sample collected on the same date returned positive results for GW1516 and EPO, which increases the oxygen-carrying capacity of blood.

Afterwards, on social media, Miller admitted he had "messed up".

He was also suspended for nine months in 2014 for methylhexaneamine, during a stint as a kickboxer.
