NRL 2020: Joseph Manu combines with Jared Waerea-Hargreaves to score stunning Roosters try

NZ internationals Joseph Manu and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves have combined to score a stunning try during the Sydney Roosters' 26-12 win over the St George Illawarra Dragons on Friday night.

Manu was initially named in the centres but switched to fullback just before the match, with James Tedesco ruled out with concussion.

The 23-year-old showed he was more than capable at the back with a stunning performance, including a freakish try assist for teammate Waerea-Hargreaves in the first half.

Manu chased his own bomb and leapt high above Dragons defenders to regather the ball, before throwing a no-look flick pass to Waerea-Hargreaves to score a try.

The try was one of five the Roosters scored in the win, with wing Brett Morris claiming his 10th career hat-trick, while playmaker Luke Keary also crossed the line.

Tokoroa-born Manu finished the game with the try assist, seven tackle busts, two line breaks and a team-high 253 metres-gained as the Roosters secured their fifth consecutive win.
