Warriors - 0    Panthers - 26

FULLTIME - That will do us. Warriors were never in this contest, as the Panthers remain undefeated. Click here for a full wrap.

72 mins - RTS grubbers and Herbert sprints through and makes a spectacular leap to dot down with the ball inches from the dead ball line. Foot was on the line as he jumped, no try ruled.

70 mins - WARRIORS MAKE A LINE BREAK. Beale peels off 15m. Bomb goes dead, Penrith restart. Sigh.

69 mins - Crrichton with a pinpoint grubber that bounces up for what looks to be a gift-wrapped try, but Mansour knocks on.

64 mins - TRY PANTHERS - Well-worked move sees Luai hold up the defensive line, links with Burton who hits Billy Burns on a pristine line to go 10m to score. Conversion is an easy one. (Panthers 26-0)

62 mins - Penalty Panthers and they launch again.

59 mins - Herbert does well to take the ball in the in-goal, take a quick tap and win another 15m. Set restart for NZ and they're 30m out.

58 mins - Warriors die with the ball at halfway. Panthers smell blood here.

53 mins - NZ on a roll after back-to-back resets, Nikroima ghosts into a gap and shuffles a tough pass to Beale, who's bundled into touch by Whare.

52 mins - Bomb floats into the Warriors in goal, Koroisau gets a hand to the ball and NZ tap and go from their 20m.

50 mins - Panthers earn a penalty from a dubious interference call in the play of the ball. They take tackle two on the NZ 30m.

47 mins - Panthers take their turn to bungle a bomb. NZ will feed a scrum on the Penrith 10m. Mansour makes a one-on-one strip and there goes that opportunity.

44 mins - TRY PANTHERS - Panthers go wide, Kikau with a masterful back flick pass to Crichton who shuffles it quickly to Mansour and he dives over the line unopposed. Not the start the Warriors were after.

43 mins - leota bursts clear, reels off 30m. Panthers hot on attack...

42 mins - RTS does well to take a swirling bomb.

41 mins - Panthers carry to get us started in the second stanza.

Second half underway...

HALFTIME

38 mins - Herbert spills another bomb on his own 20m but an obstruction against Penrith saves any further embarassment.

36 mins - TRY PANTHERS - NZ defence can't quite scramble in time as Jarome Luai grubbers from 5m out then pounces to finish the movement himself, dotting down next to the righthand upright. Conversion is good. (Panthers 16-0)

35 mins - Herbert makes a meal of a bomb reception and the ball rebounds right into Panthers' hands.

34 mins - Katoa with a messy play of the ball, small bobble just 5m from the Panthers' line and Penrith feed the scrum.

33 mins - Fisher-Harris fumbles, NZ run it out from their own 40m. Penalty NZ, a rare attacking chance here.

32 mins - More poor discipline from the Warriors, with replacement player Faamasuli ruled to have made a dangerous tackle.

31 mins - More good goal-line defence from NZ, as the Panthers' grubber rolls dead in-goal.

30 mins - Katoa looks to have made a one-on-one strip but the referee disagrees. Panthers back on attack.

28 mins - Critical spot tackle read from Herbert shuts Crichton down on the last tackle. NZ survive.

27 mins - Penalty for the Panthers and a chance to ram home the advantage.

26 mins - NZ make good ground into the Panthers red zone but a knock-on from an Egan short ball stops the attack.

23 mins - TRY PANTHERS - Black Green looks to clear but kicks it low and directly into Burton, who reacts quickly to chase, scoop up the ball and sprint 35m clear to score his second try. Conversion is wide. (Panthers 10-0)

21 mins - Nikorima crossfield chip on the last, Crichton just beats the NZ attackers to win the ball on his own line.

20 mins - NZ hold out on defence and get a piggyback penalty to relieve some pressure.

18 mins - Panthers quick into the tackle, NZ clear but only as far as halfway. More danger ahead.

17 mins - Excellent goal line defence from NZ, aggressive off the mark and they now look to run it out of their danger zone.

16 mins - NZ defence scrambles well but a stray hand gives the Panthers a fresh set. Looked to be a Panthers knock-on, harsh ruling.

15 mins - Penalty Panthers and they're right back on attack.

12 mins - TRY PANTHERS - Stephen Crichton contests a high ball with Patrick Herbert, knocks the ball back off Herbert and Matt Burton is on hand to pick up, evade RTS and dive over to score his first NRL try. Conversion is straightforward. (Panthers 4-0)

11 mins - First set restart for NZ. Harrris short ball to a charging Katoa, taken on the Panthers 20m. Nikorima chip kick follows and is easily taken.

9 mins - Panthers win a penalty. They'll launch from halfway. Set dies with a weak last-tackle grubber.

8 mins - Fisher-Harris getting through a mountain of work early for the Panthers. Another poor final tackle option and Herbert jinks his way to the NZ 40m on the first.

7 mins - Green hoists a bomb, RTS can't quite challenge Aekins, who takes tackle one on the Panthers 20m.

6 mins - Panthers chance their arm on the last but a pass is astray and NZ start from their own 30m.

4 mins - Herbert soars to take a bomb in comfortable fashion. Good metres up the middle for NZ. Nikorima chips to the corner, NZ contest but there's a knock-on and they'll handover.

3 mins - Huge early defensive pressure form the Panthers as the Warriors struggle to their own 40m before clearing.

2 mins - One set completion in the bank, after a solid opening six tackles.

1 min - Warriors start with ball in hand and it's Taunoa-Brown who winds things up first.

7:58pm - Both teams are out on the paddock on a crisp and calm night in Western Sydney. Let's do this.

Pre-match banter: Warriors lose Ken Maumalo to injury

The NZ Warriors have suffered a massive blow for Friday's NRL clash against the Penrith Panthers, with wing Ken Maumalo ruled out with a hamstring injury.

Maumalo sustained the injury during a training session at Central Coast Stadium in Gosford on Wednesday, and has been replaced by Adam Pompey in the starting side.

The 25-year-old was one of the Warriors' best performers during their 18-0 win over the St George Illawarra Dragons last week where he ran for 282 meters.

How long Maumalo will be sidelined for remains unclear, but he joins the Warriors' long injury list which includes Peta Haiku (ribs), Lachlan Burr (head knock), Leeson Ah Mau (pec) , Nathaniel Roache, Jazz Tevaga, Adam Keighan, Taane Milne, Jackson Frei and Bunty Afoa (all knee) who are all currently sidelined.
