Boxing: Seniesa Estrada scores sensational seven-second knockout against Miranda Adkins

Rising talent Seniesa Estrada has barely broken a sweat in dispatching her mismatched opponent Miranda Adkins just seven seconds of their light-flyweight showdown in California on Saturday (NZ time).

Estrada charged forward from the opening bell and unleashed a lightning-fast flurry of seven punches, the last of which left her opponent prone on the canvas, after barely leaving her corner.

But the result has raised questions about the fairness of the matchmaking. Adkins, who came in on late notice as an injury replacement, had just five pro fights - all wins - under her belt. Four of her opponents were making their debuts.

That record starkly contrasted the undefeated Estrada, who had more than 100 amateur and 18 professional bouts to her name, and is considered one of the sport's best pound-for-pound female fighters.
