Bledisloe Cup 2020: All Blacks' Patrick Tuipulotu forced out of Brisbane Bledisloe

Lock Patrick Tuipulotu has withdrawn from Saturday's fourth and final Bledisloe Cup test in Brisbane.

The Blues captain has succumbed to an illness, meaning rookie Tupou Vaa'i will come on to the bench at Suncorp Stadium.

Vaa'i will be making his third appearance for the All Blacks, after coming off the bench in the first test in Wellington and starting in the second at Eden Park.

The 20-year-old has had an outstanding 2020, going from missing out on selection in the opening seven rounds of this year's Super Rugby competition with the Chiefs to international call-up.

Tuipulotu has been a mainstay in the All Blacks starting lineup this season, after an impressive Super Rugby Aotearoa campign during which he led the Blues to a second place finish.

The All Blacks can complete a series whitewash with a win on Saturday.
