Basketball: Atlanta Hawks fan Juliana Carlos branded 'Courtside Karen' after social media rant on LeBron James

Basketball superstar LeBron James is happy to have fans back at NBA games - but some aren't as happy to see him.

The Los Angeles Lakers forward was involved in a courtside altercation with several Atlanta Hawks fans during the NBA champions’ 107-99 win on Tuesday.

As a result, security removed four spectators, including Juliana Carlos, who posted a series of profanity-filled videos on Instagram.

Carlos, 25 was attending the game with billionaire husband Chris and two friends, and got involved, after James and her partner had a courtside verbal exchange.

Carlos reportedly flipped off and hurled abuse at James, before the referees halted the game and the unruly fans were kicked out.

“So, I’m minding my own business and Chris has been a Hawks fan forever,” she screeches to her Insta followers.

“He’s been watching the games for 10 years. Whatever, he has this issue with LeBron.

“I don’t have an issue with LeBron. I don’t give a f**k about LeBron.

"Anyway, I’m minding my own business, drinking my [beverage], having fun. All of the sudden, LeBron says something to my husband, and I see this and I stand up.

“I go, ‘Don’t f***ing talk to my husband’, and he looks at me and he goes, ‘Sit the f**k down, b***h’.

“And I go, ‘Don’t f***ing call me a b***h, you sit the f**k down. Get the f**k out of here. Don’t f***ing talk to my husband like that. 'Bye b***h'.

James says the group probably shouldn't have been kicked out.

"At the end of the day, I'm happy fans are back in the building. I miss that interaction... we as players need that interaction.

“I don't feel like it was warranted to be kicked out. There was a back-and-forth between two grown men - he said his piece, I said my piece - then someone else jumped into it and said their piece.

"I didn't think they should have been kicked out, but they might have had a couple of drinks maybe and they could have probably kept it going. It wouldn't have been about the game anymore... the referees did what they had to do."

After seeing Carlos' video response, James tweeted: "Courtside Karen is MAD MAD!!"

Carlos has become the subject of online memes and criticism.
