Cricket: Kyle Jamieson, Finn Allen among New Zealand's IPL auction contingent

Kyle Jamieson and Finn Allen are two of 20 New Zealand cricketers who will feature in the Indian Premier League auction next week.

The two exciting young guns have had breakout years, with Jamieson staring in international cricket, while Allen has dominated the domestic Super Smash to put himself in the frame for a Blackcaps T20 callup.

Allen's 496 Super Smash runs (196 strike rate) has caught the eye of IPL recruiters - good enough to make a shortlist of 292 players, which was trimmed down from 1,114 that registered for the auction.

Allen's reserve is set at NZ$38,080, while Jamieson, Corey Anderson and Tim Southee have been set at NZ$142,000.

The majority of the Kiwi contingent, including Allen's Wellington teammate Devon Conway, are listed at NZ$95,200.

Trent Boult, Mitchell Santner, Lockie Ferguson and Blackcaps skipper Kane Williamson were all retained by their franchises at the end of last season's tournament.

Steve Smith and Glenn Maxwell are expected to be sought after talents, both entering the auction with a base price of NZ$380,000.

They are joined by England internationals Moeen Ali, Sam Billings, Mark Wood, Liam Plunkett and Jason Roy as well as Bangladesh all-rounder Shakin Al Hasan in the high price bracket.

James Neesham, Martin  Guptill, Adam Milne, Glenn Phillips, Ish Sodhi, Mitchell McCleneghan, Colin de Grandhomme, Matt Henry, Scott Kuggeleijn, Neil Wagner, Jacob Duffy, Blair Tickner and Josh Clarkson are the other Kiwi players up for auction.
