Rugby: France coach Fabien Galthie tests positive for COVID-19, squad in isolation

France's head coach Fabien Galthie and another staff member have tested positive, after the country's Six Nations squad went into COVID-19 isolation.

Galthie had previously returned a negative COVID-19 result, but was re-tested a day later and found to be positive for the virus.

The French Rugby Federation has not revealed where the squad is isolating.

Additional tests will be conducted at the National Rugby Centre three more times throughout the remainder of the week.

France, who are leading the Six Nations standings after two wins from two games, are due to face Scotland on February 28.

The 31-member squad for the Scotland game will be announced on Thursday (NZ time).
