NRL: Fijian flyer Maika Sivo scores hat-trick as Parramatta Eels pulverise Brisbane Broncos

A hat-trick to winger Maika Sivo has seen Parramatta Eels thrash Brisbane Broncos, running away with a 46-6 victory in Darwin on Friday night.

In a devastating display of attacking football, the Eels ran in eight tries and conceded only one, as Parramatta moved to second on the NRL ladder after their first seven games.

With scores locked at 6-6 in the first half, Parramatta turned on their attacking flair to completely overwhelm the Broncos, and show why they're among the favourites to push Melbourne Storm in the race for the 2021 NRL premiership title.

Sivo was joined on the scoresheet by former NZ Warriors forward Isaiah Papali'i, Oregon Kafusi, Tom Opacic, Bryce Cartwright and Clint Gutherson for the Eels. Tevita Pangai Junior scored the only try of the night for Brisbane.

Fijian winger Sivo could well have had a fourth try but for a desperate Pangai Junior tackle to force a forward pass from Gutherson.

The win sees the Eels second only to the unbeaten Penrith Panthers on the 2021 NRL competition ladder, having won six of their seven games.

The Broncos meanwhile are only ahead of the Bulldogs at the bottom of the table, with only one win so far under new coach, former Queensland State of Origin boss, Kevin Walters.
