Live updates: Floyd Mayweather v Logan Paul at Miami Gardens, Florida

Main event - Floyd Mayweather v Logan Paul

Paul was game until the end but ultimately, this was the second easiest payday of Mayweather's career. I'm sure he'd welcome a rematch.

'Pretty Boy' may have lost a split second or two of speed but his boxing nouse and conditioning were enough to ensure he came out trumps against Paul, who had to resort to ineffective clinching and leaning, using his significant height and weight advantage to see out the contest.

Either way, both fighters will leave Hard Rock Stadium with a few extra zeroes in their checking account. Perhaps a draw is a fair result?

Thanks for joining us.

3:40pm - "This is one of the greatest moments of my life," says Paul. "I’m happy. It’s an honour to grace the ring with him."

Fairplay to the man.

3:37pm - "He's better than I thought he was," says Mayweather. "I was surprised by him tonight."

Says Paul will struggle fighting at his legitimate weight class.

3:35pm - Well, Paul made it the distance. It wasn't a close bout, but it certainly wasn't a shutout for Mayweather.

But hey, there are no judges in an exhibition, so I guess we'll never know.

Jake Paul is losing his mind ringside. Half expecting him to call out Mayweather next.

Cast your own vote below.

Round eight - Paul's corner telling him that if gets out of this round, he's won. Moral victory? Paul finds his mark with a rare left, it's been a while. Mayweather's never been known for his KO power, not sure we're going to see a finish at this stage. Plenty of clinching as this one draws to a close, much to the crowd's disgust. Mayweather drops his hands, let's his feet do the talking. Paul posturing as the final seconds tick away. That'll do us.

Round seven - Fairplay to Paul for surviving this long, but the man has little left to offer for Mayweather at this stage. The action has slowed in both directions. Mayweather fakes, goes back to the well. It's getting a bit sloppy in there, as Paul continually clinches and leans. To the final round, we go.

Round six - Out comes Mayweather with his guard high, inching forward as the aggressor. Unloads a right hand, left to the body. Paul can only clinch, he's in survival mode here. Mayweather corners him, ducking then unleashing on Paul, who appears to have lost most of the functionality in his arms. Sweeping left hook from Mayweather to finish the round.

Round five - Halfway through this one. Mayweather has collected all of his data, putting it into effect now. Heavy left hook lands on Paul, whose hands are really low. Counter right uppercut thuds into Paul's bread basket, the damage from these shots are clearly starting to mount. Mayweather stalking, lands a left to close a comprehensive round.

Round four - Mayweather opens with a pinpoint lead left hook, he's getting busier now. Paul throwing, Mayweather ducking. Mayweather springs forward with an overhand right, counters with another left. Playing with his food a bit here, Mayweather. Walking forward with little regard for Paul's power, as the big man starts to wane. Mayweather focusing on the body and narrowing that reach divide. Left, right hand lands for Paul.

Round three - Paul dripping with sweat, get the sense Mayweather is just waiting for him to gas. Paul clinches again, unable to land inside. Mayweather backing his head movement, has been hesitant to really throw in combinations. Mayweather misses with a jab, Paul lands an uppercut to the body. Mayweather coming forward now, two heavy right hands find their target. Paul trying to use his weight advantage, leaning all over Mayweather and making him carry it. Vicious left hook from Mayweather lands, best shot of the fight so far.

Round two - Paul may have gassed himself out with that flurry at the end of round one, already lumbering a tad. Maywweather stings a jab to the body, which is essentially at his eye level. Paul playing with fire, hands down. Mayweather warming his way into the bout. Paul's mind clearly working overtime trying to calculate his opponent's movement. Low action round comes to an end.

Round one - We're underway! Mayweather taking his time, assessing exactly what he's working with. Mayweather looks miniscule next to the hefty Paul. They tie up for the first time, mayweather lands one inside. Mayweather flashes a left jab, follows with another one. Lightning quick, Paul looked confused. Paul unleashes on Mayweather as the round closes, swinging haymakers as 'Pretty Boy' simply covers up and waits for the bell to sound. No scoring shots landed.

3:01pm - Lennon takes two minutes detailing Mayweather's credentials. Paul's was much quicker.

3pm - 19 years, three inches, and almost 35 pounds advantage to Paul. Will any of it matter? Highly unlikely.

2:55pm - Here comes Floyd, extensive entourage in tow, as per. Rapper Moneybagg Yo accompanies him in on the mic, shamelessly lip syncing.

Mayweather is head to toe in alligator skin warm-ups. Interesting flex.

2:53pm - Just a reminder, there are no judges in action for this exhibition fight. Only a knockout can decide a victor.

2:50pm - Migos lead the way for Mayweather with a slow walk performance to the middle, rapping that track that sounds like all of their other ones.

2:45pm - Jimmy Lennon Jr takes the centre of the ring to begin the introductions.

Paul begins his entrance to a fairly sparsely populated Hard Rock Stadium, home of the NFL's Miami Dolphins, sporting a gold-encased Pokemon card necklace. Of course.

Doesn't seem like there's been any further rain since that early downpour, here's hoping that canvas hold up for "Pretty Boy" to get dancing.

2:37pm - An 0-1 YouTuber has somehow made it worthwhile for 50-0 Floyd Mayweather to let him share the ring with him. What a world.

Ring walks imminent.

2:23pm - There it is, knockdown No.3 and this one is in the bag for Jack, who was an enormous betting favourite.

Up next, the main event - Mayweather v Paul.

2:20pm - Hold the phones, 'Pretty Boy' is up to the mic for a brief pre-fight chat.

Mayweather clarifies that he's retired from boxing, but not entertaining or making money. Fair play.

Jack earns a knockdown, don't think this one is going the distance. One more time to the canvas for Molina and the three knockdown rule comes into effect.

2:17pm - Colina - a late injury replacement - isn't having a fun day out against Jack, who is putting a beating on the Colombian.

Round three of 10 is in the books.

1:55pm - Cross to an interview with Paul, who claims his only concerns right now are that he's "too calm".

Meanwhile, Mayweather has refused to do any more pre-fight interviews. All business now.

Badou Jack and Dervin Colina are about to square off in a light heavyweight contest. I guess you could call this the co-main event, because after this we'll be into the big one.

1:52pm - This slippery ring caused by the rain in Miami is an intriguing sub plot. Should play to Paul's favour in the main event by limiting Mayweather's trademark movement, at least to some extent.

1:41pm - Jarrett Hurd and Luis Arias are throwing some serious leather, as their 10-round contest draws to a close. The rain in the open-air stadium caused plenty of slipping, but this was a legitimately great fight.

As one of two sanctioned bouts on the card, we'll actually get a result here.

Split decision goes the way of Luis Arias.

12:50pm - Earlier, former NFL star Chad 'Ocho cinco' Johnson got the main card underway against Brian Maxwell, who plies his trade as a bare knuckle fighter.

Maxwell scored the only knockdown of the fight, which probably means he won. But there were no judges, so....

Kia ora and welcome to live coverage of undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather's exhibition fight against YouTube star turned fighter Logan Paul from Miami Gardens, Florida.

Is this great for the sport of boxing? That's a question for another day. Don't kid yourself, you want to see how this bout plays out.

And let's be honest, it's always worth watching 'Pretty Boy' Floyd clock in and go to work.

There are several rather unique rules in effect for today's main event, the most bizarre being there are no judges, meaning only a knockout will determine a winner.

Otherwise, we're left with awkward stalemate, where the victor is decided by the loudest voices on Twitter... maybe?

Both men will be using gargantuan 12oz gloves across eight three-minute rounds. If we get that far.

The main event seems likely to being at approximately 3pm (NZ time), but we'll keep you posted.
