Wrap - An epic game - quality was missing at times but what a great sporting moment. Denmark were superb at times and bossed the game for several periods but they ran out of steam. Schmeichel kept the Danes in the game with several key saves, but couldn't parry Kane's penalty away far enough and in the end that was the difference.

94mins - Walker finds Kane on the run and he shots low to Schmeichel's right but again the Danish goal keeper is too good, diving low to parry the ball away.

64mins - Sharp football from England and a long period in possession...Mount shoots from distance but it's straight at the keeper. 

62mins - Walker sets Mount free who is in behind but he takes a bit too long and Vetsergaard recovers and makes a safe tackle inside the box....Denmark survive.

60mins - Corner for England comes to nothing with Schmeichel looking sound in Denmark's goal. 

59mins - Dolberg shoots from distance for Denmark but straight at Pickford who clamly gathers. Good spell this for the Danes.

58mins - Maguire heads clear for England but the Danes come straight back ... Damsgaard crosses for Maehle but his volley is well wide.

57mins - Corner won by Dolberg for Denmark as his shot rebounds off Maguire. 

54mins - Chance! Free-kick from Mount is a beauty and Maguire climbs high and heads to Schemichel's right but he pulls off a wonderful low one-handed save to deny England.

53mins - Kane wins a free-kick for his side wide on the right. 

52mins - Braithwaite is free down the right for the Danes ... he floats in a cross but Pickford punches to safety. 

50mins - Dolberg is into space after a pass from Damsgaard and he fires a hard low shot to Pickford's right from 20-yards out but the England keeper saves well.....wouldn't have counted as Dolberg was offside. 

48mins - Foul by Maguire on Kjaer from the free-kick. Maguire raised the arm as he went in for the challenge. 

47mins - Free-kick for England. Vestergaard brings down Saka wide on the right .... 19-yards out. 

46mins - No changes for either side at the break.

2nd-half - Players and officials heading back out onto Wembley. England will have the ball to start the second spell. 

Halftime - That's the half up... an intriguing match so far with both sides showing signs of dominance. That goal for England just before halftime was huge. 

44mins - England back to it now ... oozing confidence after that goal.

39mins - Goal England - Own goal (Kjaer): What a pass from Kane. He has the ball in the middle - 25 yards out...low pass sets Saka free in behind the defence ... his low ball into Sterling beats Schmeichel and is put into his own net by a diving Kjaer under pressure from Sterling. 1-1

38mins - Chance! Mount frees Kane down the right and his low cross finds Sterling six-yards out but he hits it straight at Schmeichel who saves well. Sterling should have scored. 

37mins - The Danes counter with intent... but a horrible cross from Hojbjerg lets England off the hook with three Danish players in the box. What a waste.

36mins - Sterling takes but he can't beat the wall.... on target but some big Danish boys in that wall.

35mins - Free-kick for England now as Kane is fouled 20m out - dead-centre.

33mins - Denmark have taken over... dominating possession now and the goal will have shocked England. 

30mins - Goal Denmark: Mikkel Damsgaard - Wow! Damsgaard fires in a set-piece bullet. No chance for Pickford who dives high to his right but he can't get to it. Superb and Pickford is beaten for the first time in 700 minutes. Denmark 1-0

29mins - Free-kick for Denmark on the edge of the box...to the right of Pickford. 

27mins - Free-kick 25m out for England ... ball is fired in for Maguire but he can't get to it... Shaw picks the ball up on the edge and he crosses for Kane but it's over his head and away by the Danes.

25mins - Kane coughs up possession on halfway and Denmak counters ... Damsgaard with twinkle toes inside the box and fires a shot just wide of a flat-footed Pickford. 

24mins - Saka finally wins the ball back for England and earns a throw ... that was four minutes of total Danish control although thet diidn't exactly threaten the English goal. 

22mins - Nice spell for the Danes... controlling the ball and frustrating England and the fans. 

20mins - Denmark happy to sit back and allow England the ball - no Danish player inside the England half as the Poms work the ball forward. But the Danes do look good on the counter. 

19mins - A poor free-kick from Stryger-Larsen from a promising spot for the Danes - way too much on that and it floats out for a goal-kick. 

17mins - Stryger-Larsen fires in a corner but Pickford punches to safety as Mount wins a defensive free-kick for England. 

15mins - Chance for Denmark after a poor throw from Pickford as Damsgaard's shot is deflected wide. 

14mins - Plenty of passes between the back six for England until Walker's long ball finds Kane on the edge of the box who turns and fires his shot high and wide over the goal. 

13mins - Kane finds Sterling on the edge of the box .... he goes inside Christensen and shoots low but straight at Schmeichel who gathers cleanly.

12mins - Mount and Saka combine on the right and Mount is into the box but Vestergaard clears after a heavy touch. Corner for England comes to nothing.

11mins - England still bossing possession - Phillips and Rice with a ton of touches so far.

10mins - Hojbjerg sends Dolberg on a run through the middle and he's almost in behind the defence but Kyle Walker''s pace enough to get the ball clear. That was promising for the Danes. 

8mins - Maguire comes forward for England and finds Sterling who gets to the byeline and crosses for Saka but Kjaer is there to head away.

5mins - England dominating early as Mount frees Kane down the right .... he fires in a low cross to Sterling but it's just beyond him inside the six-yard box and out for a goal-kick. 

4mins - Thunderous atmosphere inside Wembley.... really getting in behind their side who have settled the better. 

3mins - Luke Shaw powers into the box and finds Mount who turns, but his touch is harsh and Schmeichel collects in front of Sterling.

Kia ora, good morning and welcome to Newshub's live updates of the second semi-final of Euro 2020, with England and Denmark going head-to-head at London's Wembley Stadium.

Today's winner will advance to face Italy, who prevailed in a penalty shootout against Spain in the first semi-final on Wednesday (NZ time).

Hosts England will enter the game as heavy favourites, after a tournament run that's whipped the nation into a fervour, highlighted by a 2-0 victory over rivals Germany.

The next obstacle in their way are a plucky Danish side, galvanised by the shocking on-field cardiac arrest suffered by star player Christian Eriksen early in the competition, which has spurred them to an unlikely final four berth.
