Bledisloe Cup 2021: Half-packed Eden Park holds no fears for confident Wallabies

The Wallabies continue to insist the All Blacks have lost their fear factor as Australia prepare to take their game to another level this week in the second Bledisloe Cup test.

The return of star winger Marika Koroibete, coupled with a dominant finish last week has the Australian camp in high spirits.

And it's looking like Eden Park won't be its usual fortress come Saturday night, with just 19,000 tickets sold.

"Hopefully it's more full than empty," says All Blacks skipper Sam Whitelock.

"Here's hoping the fans we do get ate nice and loud."

Full crowd or not, the Wallabies hold no angst over heading to Eden Park despite a 30-year drought against the All Blacks in Auckland.

On Friday, the Dave Rennie coached side were relaxed and confident after running in three tries in 12 minutes to round off last week.

"We do respect New Zealand," says captain Michael Hooper. "But we don't fear them. We're going to go out and impose ourselves on these guys."

Whitelock says it's up to the All Blacks to reinforce their dominance over the trans-Tasman rivals.

"They did finish strong, but we allowed them to.

"But with that we have to make sure we don't give easy outs."

One player who won't make it easy for the All Blacks is X-factor winger Marika Koribete - who returns this week after being stood down.

But the former NRL star is not the only one who'll be keen to impose some physicality, with Hooper looking to get even with Brodie Retallick who put a big shot on the Wallabies skipper last week. ,

Yeah, he got me good! I said to him after 'mate I didn't miss playing you while you were away.'"

Expect some rough and tumble rugby with the Bledisloe on the line come Saturday night.
