Former Australian spin bowler Shane Warne has tested positive for COVID-19 in the UK and is undertaking further testing.

On Sunday (local time), Warne returned a COVID-positive lateral flow test after reportedly feeling unwell.

Warne, who's in England coaching London Spirit in The Hundred competition, is now in isolation - missing his side's Sunday fixture at Lord's against Southern Brave.

The 51-year-old will now take a PCR COVID-19 test.

"Shane will isolate from the squad and support staff whilst he awaits PCR results," London Spirit said in a statement.

"Wishing you all the best in your recovery, Shane.

"We hope to see you on the sidelines again soon," the club added on social media.

Last weekend, Trent Rockets and former England coach Andy Flower was also announced as COVID-positive and has been unable to attend his side's last three matches, Cricinfo reported.

The Hundred, run by the England Cricket Board, is a competition aimed at attracting younger audiences. Matches consist of 100 balls per innings with a change of ends after 10 deliveries - as opposed to the normal 6-ball overs.
