WARRIORS 16        RAIDERS 28

FULLTIME - RAIDERS TRY

And that's that. Walsh can't hang onto a Raiders bomb, and Young is there to score with what should be the final touch of the game.

Conversion to come, and Rapana brings it round. Game over. Season over.

(WAR 16 CAN 28)

78 mins - RAIDERS TRY

The Raiders make use of the ball again, as the Warriors wait for the field goal attempt.

The attempt doesn't come though, as the Raiders go wide to Rapana! He beats Watene-Zelezniak and scores under the posts!

Can Rapana convert his own try? He can.

The Warriors need a converted try in the final minute to keep their season alive.

(WAR 16 CAN 22)

77 mins

The Warriors can line up another drop goal attempt here.

They work the ball forward with their six, before Walsh kicks on the last. But the Raiders read it like a book, as Hodgson puts pressure on the kick.

The attempt goes wide and the Raiders can have a crack.

76 mins

Whitehead is tackled high by O'Sullivan, and he stays down for a penalty.

The Raiders don't want the shot at goal this time. They try to run the ball in the Warriors' half, but Horsburgh drops it again!

75 mins

Horsburgh drops the ball for the Raiders, and now the Warriors can start their set inside the Raiders' half, and build towards a field goal.

Nikorima tries to put Afoa in to score on the fourth, but he's tackled. O'Sullivan tries to break the line on the fifth, but he's tackled too.

The Warriors have no one to take the shot at goal! Sironen tries to kick through the line, but the Raiders are there to take it.

72 mins

Fonua-Blake splits the Raiders' defence inside their half - but then he knocks it on!

The Raiders attack, before Rapana stays down in a tackle. He's copped a shot from Afoa as he was tackled by Sironen. Afoa is placed on report.

Will the Raiders want the shot at goal? They do.

Rapana lines up the shot, on the 40m line. It drops short and bounces dead though.

66 mins - RAIDERS TRY

Rapana breaks down the left wing, and catches the Warriors out with a pass back inside to Kris.

Kris steps back inside to leave Nikorima clutching at thin air, before he runs in to score under the posts.

That's three unanswered tries from the Raiders, with Rapana's kick to come.

Rapana's kick is good, and we're all square in Mackay.

(WAR 16 CAN 16)

63 mins

The Warriors attack with their left edge. O'Sullivan takes the tackle, but he can't hang onto the ball - another handling error.

Raiders scrum.

62 mins

Frawley kicks, and the Warriors let the Raiders win the ball in the air. The ball goes back to Frawley for another kick, which Montoya takes - and sees all the Raiders' chasers from the first kick offside.

Penalty to the Warriors.

58 mins

Walsh puts a bomb up on the Warriors' last, and Montoya takes out Nicoll-Klokstad again - in the air this time.

He gives away a penalty. Big few minutes from Montoya.

56 mins

Montoya smashes Timoko this time, and he can't hang onto the ball as the Warriors get possession back.

Eliesa Katoa stays down after a tackle, looks like he's copped a knock to the head from Wighton?

Short delay, but he looks ready to go again.

55 mins

Montoya is placed on report and gives away a penalty for a high tackle on Nicoll-Klokstad.

The Raiders will restart just shy of halfway.

54 mins

Another Raiders attack, and the Warriors' defensive line is sitting back.

Wighton kicks on the last, but Afoa somehow sticks out a foot and ends the Raiders' attack.

51 mins

The Warriors survive a chance on their own line, before Berry and DWZ break down the right.

Possession's lost though, and the Raiders can start again. Young tries to kick on the last, but there's no chaser as the ball dribbles dead.

48 mins

Walsh is tackled high by Whitehead, but there's no call from the ref? Townsend has left the field with that shoulder injury.

Nikorima has come on to play in the halves, but he's dropped the ball with his first touch.

43 mins - RAIDERS TRY

And the Raiders open the scoring in the second! Canberra move the ball through the hands out to the left, before Nicoll-Klokstad feeds Kris - who runs over the top of an already ginger Townsend to score!

Rapana lines up the kick, but he can't shape it back, so the Warriors' lead is six points.

(WAR 16 CAN 10)

41 mins

The Warriors kick off, and the second half is underway!

9:08pm

The Raiders are back out on the field, can they turn this around in the second half?

HALFTIME

Slight scramble to end the half, but the Warriors survive unscathed.

That's the half, and what a half it was for the Warriors!

38 mins - RAIDERS TRY

Have the Raiders scored? They have!

Canberra are patient inside the Warriors' 10, before Nicoll-Klokstad is one-on-one with Hiku.

The fullback spins out of the tackle, and he grounds the ball for a Raiders try!

Rapana lines up the conversion attempt, and curves it back between the posts.

(WAR 16 CAN 6)

37 mins

The Warriors attack again after Hodgson loses the ball.

They work the ball into the 10, before Townsend kicks on the last. The ball hits the upright, and falls perfectly for O'Sullivan - but he knocks on!

We'll check the bunker, with a possible interference from Wighton, but the knock-on call will stand.

35 mins

The Warriors go wide to Walsh, who takes on the defence before looking for Montoya on the right - the winger can't hold on though! Hang on, penalty against the Raiders for offside.

Another set coming up. Walsh again has the Raiders running back, before he finds Curran - who knocks it on this time!

Worrying handling errors starting to creep in for the Warriors.

33 mins

Townsend kicks on the Warriors' last. Watene-Zelezniak gets up and bats it back towards Berry.

Berry goes for the right corner, and looks for the offload back inside to Curran. Rapana gets a hand out and knocks the ball on.

The Warriors will have six more, right on the Raiders' last.

30 mins

Curran kicks and chases (!) into the Raiders' in-goal. Nicoll-Klokstad is there, but Curran takes him to earn the Warriors a goal-line dropout.

The Warriors move the ball from left to right to Berry, who's tackled, before they go back the other way.

O'Sullivan nearly slips Fonua-Blake through, but he runs into the Raiders' defence. Papalii makes the tackle as Fonua-Blake looks for the offload back to O'Sullivan - but he can't hang on!

Knock on called against the Warriors - but they're the only team in this at the moment!

26 mins

Simonsson's mistakes have cost him. He's subbed, which sees Rapana move to the wing, and Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad come on at fullback.

25 mins - WARRIORS TRY

Egan carries on to be a nuisance from dummy half, before Townsends kicks on the last.

The ball goes up, and Simonsson spills it! DWZ is there this time, and he grounds the ball!

Can Walsh add the extras? He can!

(WAR 16 CAN 0)

24 mins

Bad news for the Raiders. Joseph Tapine is limping from the field. He's smashed in a tackle from Lodge, who's on report.

They restart inside the Warriors' half, and work towards the 20.

Sutton loses the ball on the third, but the Raiders use their captain's challenge. More bad news for the Raiders, the play is called as a loose carry.

20 mins - WARRIORS TRY

The Warriors attack down the left on the fourth as Walsh, Hiku and Montoya try to find a way through.

Walsh tries on the fifth, but he's tackled. Last play, the Warriors right on the Raiders' tryline.

O'Sullivan kicks for the right hand corner, where DWZ and Simonsson clash. But the ball drops free, where Rocco Berry runs in first to ground it in goal! And the try is given!

Walsh lines up his second kick, and shapes it just inside the left post!

(WAR 10 CAN 0)

18 mins

Chad Townsend looks like he's taken a knock to the shoulder, the same injury he's been battling since he arrived back at the Warriors.

He's staying out there for now.

15 mins

The Warriors kick on the last, and Simonsson has a bit of trouble at the back as the Raiders start their attack.

Papalii causes more headaches, before Frawley kicks on the last, where DWZ does brilliantly to hold on with his arms outstretched.

14 mins

Lodge knocks on, but asks Fonua-Blake for a captain's challenge.

Fonua-Blake agrees and sends it upstairs. It looks like Frawley might have knocked the ball out of Lodge's hands, this should go the Warriors' way.

And it is. Great use of the captain's challenge by the two front rowers!

11 mins

Set restart called for the Raiders as they run inside the Warriors' half.

Wighton finds Young, who stabs a kick through for Simonsson, but he can't hang on to the ball and knocks on for another Warriors scrum.

7 mins

The Raiders kick on the last, but Montoya cleans up and runs the ball into touch in his in-goal to force a dropout.

The Raiders can attack again. The Raiders attack down the right, before coming back to the middle.

Wighton is nearly put through, but he can't hang onto the ball.

Warriors scrum.

5 mins

The Raiders get their first use of the ball after another Warriors set, Rapana fields the kick from fullback.

Simonsson carries the ball over halfway, before Wighton kicks on the last, Walsh takes it before he's tackled in the air by Young.

Hang on, the call is overturned and the Raiders have a penalty for Wighton being tackled in the kick.

8:01pm - WARRIORS TRY

Have the Warriors scored from the kick-off?! They have!

Lodge and Fonua-Blake both hit the line hard in the early tackles, before Egan breaks the line from dummy-half.

Egan's clean through, before getting his pass away to O'Sullivan - who races away to score the opener!

Shades of a forward pass from Egan, but the referee says all is good.

Walsh lines up the first kick of the night, and slots it!

(WAR 6 CAN 0)

7:09pm

In a classic pre-match barb, Raiders coach Ricky Stuart has declared that the Warriors' season is over.

Can the Kiwi side make him eat his words?

Kick-off's around an hour away.

******

Kia ora and welcome to Newshub's live updates of NZ Warriors v Canberra Raiders from BB Print Stadium, Mackay.

What an end to the season we're in for, as the race to make the top eight goes right down to the wire - and for the Warriors, this is do or die.

Last week's loss to Brisbane Broncos has effectively taken things out of their hands - they need two wins from two to finish the regular season and hope other results go their way.

The Warriors are currently 11th on the NRL ladder with 18 points, and could reach 22 with victories against the Raiders tonight and Gold Coast Titans next week.

What's more, the Warriors will probably need the Raiders, Titans, St George-Illawarra Dragons and Cronulla Sharks to lose all their remaining games.

TAB odds: Warriors $2.75, Raiders $1.43
