The Tall Ferns have bounced back to crush India and advance to the knockout stage of basketball's Asia Cup in Jordan on Thursday.

The Kiwi women put on another stellar defensive performance, dominating the rebound battle and finding their range from the field to cruise to a 109-49 victory - their first since 2019.

Centre Penina Davidson continued her stand-out tournament, notching her second double in three games with 18 points on 7/12 shooting to go with 11 rebounds. She combined with Tessa Boagni to help the Kiwis dominate the boards, as the forward finished with 13 points and nine rebounds.

Forward Mary Goulding contributed 18 points on an efficient seven of nine attempts, while US college star Charlisse Leger-Walker drained a pair of three-pointers in her 13-point haul.

The Tall Ferns will move on to face Australia in the qualification semi-finals on Friday, where a win will ensure a berth in the 2022 FIBA World Cup Qualifying Tournament.
