Golf: Brooks Koepka-Bryson DeChambeau feud put on hold for USA's Ryder Cup challenge

Golf's biggest feud has seemingly been put to bed for this week's Ryder Cup in Wisconsin.

Americans Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka have been going at it for the past two years in a very public spat, but that rivalry could just turn into a collaboration, as the USA prepare to lock horns with Europe.

Koepka and DeChambeau are adamant they've put their differences aside for the sake of the stars and stripes.

"It's about the team this week," says DeChambeau.

The falling out started in 2019, when Koepka took aim at Dechambeau's slow play.

Then came the jab at the abs - or lack of - after Koepka posed naked in ESPN's body issue, when DeChambeau teed off.

"I don't think his genetics make him look good," DeChambeau said. "He didn't have any abs, I have abs."

Koepka pointed to his four Major trophies, taunting that he was just two short of a six pack.

Who could forget the eye roll seen all around the world, when Dechambeau walked past his countryman during an interview at the PGA Championship in May.

Then the fans got involved, calling DeChambeau by Koepka's nickname - Brooksy.

Just days out from the Ryder Cup, the feud’s seemingly over.

"I sat down and had dinner with him last night, and it was fine," says DeChambeau.

And American captain Steve Stricker's been a bit of a mediator.

"I've had conversations with them both," he says. "They assured me it's not an issue."

There's even been talk of a possible Brooksy and Bryson partnership.

"I think there might be something fun coming up here moving forward, but we won't speak too much on that," DeChambeau adds.

How much they will speak at all this week remains to be seen.
