Golf: Ryan Fox plummets down leaderboard at PGA European Tour's Andalucia Masters after disastrous third round

Kiwi golfer Ryan Fox has dropped down the leaderboard into a share for 10th, after the third round of the PGA European Tour's Andalucia Masters in Spain.

After sitting one shot off the lead and in a tie for second at halfway, Fox carded a third-round score of three-over 74, to sit at even par heading into the final round.

Despite starting brightly with a birdie on the third hole, Fox quickly came crashing back down with a double-bogey on the fourth, before a bogey on the eighth had him complete the front nine at one-over for the round.

Fox made par through six holes, before another bogey on the 16th, and finished his round with another dropped shot on the 18th, carding a three-over 74.

The Kiwi is now in a six-way tie for 10th place, along with France's Julien Guerrier, England's Robert Rock, Paraguay's Fabrizio Zanotti, Spain's Sebastian Garcia Rodriguez and Sweden's Alexander Bjork.

Fox now trails leader Laurie Canter of England by seven shots, heading into the last round at Real Club Valderrama.

Overnight leader Romain Langasque of France shot two-over to drop to a share for fourth, despite holding a one-shot lead at the start of the round.
