Bio

NZ flagbearer for Beijing opening ceremony, as he was at 2016 Youth Winter Olympics at Lillehammer, Norway, where he became New Zealand's first youth winter medallist, taking silver in halfpipe and bronze in slopestyle.

Achieved several World Cup top-10 finishes and made his Olympic debut in Korea four years ago, where he placed 13th in slopestyle.

Bio

Finished fourth in slopestyle at 2016 Lillehammer Youth Winter Olympics and won bronze at the 2017 world junior championships.

Selected for Pyeongchang, but was unable to compete, due to a training accident just days before.

Has three World Cup podium finishes, including slopestyle victory at Calgary 2020 and third at Mammoth Mountain last month.

At his first Olympics four years ago, fell one sport short of the podium over 5000m and also finished fourth with now-coach Shane Dobbin and Reyon Kay in team pursuit. Has dropped down in distance this time, but also hopes to contest 10,000m.

Several World Cup medals to his name and a former world champion in-line skater, who switched to ice after seeing Dobbin compete at Sochi 2014.

Bio

Was New Zealand's youngest-ever Winter Olympian, when she competed in Korea four years ago, finishing 35th at giant slalom. Since then, she has become one of the world's best alpine skiers, with five World Cup podiums and three victories.

Became New Zealand's first World Cup skiing winner in 20 years at Solden 2017 and was named 2019 Halberg Awards Emerging Talent.

Arrives in China off the back of a career-best World Cup fourth for Super G at St Moritz and silver at European Cup downhill. Named NZ flagbearer for Beijing opening ceremony.

Became New Zealand's second Winter Olympic medallist, when she won slopestyle bronze in Korea four years ago and briefly youngest-ever medallist, beating swimming Danyon Loader from Barcelona 1992. She was later surpassed by teammate Nico Porteous.

Has become one of the world's top snowboarders, standing on the podium at every World Cup events she contested in 2020/21. Became the first snowboarder to defend a slopestyle world title and finished second in big air.

Arrives in China off two gold medals and 'Best on Snow' honours at X-Games Aspen last month.
