Kia ora, good evening and welcome to Newshub's live coverage of the second test between the Blackcaps and India from Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium.
It's day two and deja vu all over again. As they were at Kanpur, New Zealand find themselves needing to take wickets to keep India within reach, with the hosts resuming at 221/4.
Even after the first day was shortened to 70 overs, India have still scored at a healthy run rate of more than three an over, setting themselves to go huge in their first innings.
Opening batter Mayank Agarwal returns to the crease on 120, looking to push on to a third test double century, if not even more, joined by wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha on 25.
For New Zealand, spinner Ajaz Patel enjoyed a brilliant Mumbai homecoming, taking the only wickets to fall on the opening day.
But for all of his success, there are ominous signs from Patel's performance. The left-arm tweaker was able to extract copious amounts of turn away from India's right-handers and with four days still scheduled to come in this test, it's frightening to think what's in store for the Kiwi batters up against the Indian spinners.
What's more, they'll have to do it without captain Kane Williamson, after another flare up of his increasingly problematic elbow injury forced him out of the line-up.
