Basketball: Steven Adams throws unreal full-court assist to Ja Morant as Memphis Grizzlies beat San Antonio Spurs

Kiwi star Steven Adams has added to his NBA season highlights reel, throwing a stunning full-court assist to teammate Ja Morant in Memphis Grizzlies' 118-105 victory over San Antonio Spurs.

With less than a second remaining in the second quarter, Adams fired a length-of-the-court pass to Morant, who caught the ball in mid-air before managing to lob it into the hoop for two points.

The play was just one of many highlights for Morant in Memphis' victory - finishing with a career-high, franchise record 52 points, eight rebounds and two assists in 34 minutes on court.

Morant's display came off the back of his previous franchise regular-season record of 46 points, scored against Chicago Bulls on Sunday (NZ time), and bettered his previous career best of 47 against Utah Jazz in the 2021 playoffs.

Adams meanwhile registered four points, five assists and 14 rebounds of his own in the Grizzlies' display.

The win was the Grizzlies' 42nd of the season so far, seeing them sit third in the NBA's Western Conference, just one victory behind second-placed Golden State Warriors.
