NZ Warriors will field yet another new halves combination, when they enter their NRL clash with Wests Tigers at Sydney's Campbelltown on Friday.

Just a week after making his debut for his new side, Ash Taylor has been forced out of the gameday squad with a hip injury.

Kodi Nikorima returns in Taylor's absence to partner with Chanel Harris-Tavita - the third combination used in as many games.

Taylor joins off-season signing Shaun Johnson on the sidelines, after the Kiwis halfback injured his pectoral muscle in the season-opening loss to St George Dragons.

The 141-game veteran Nikorima's inclusion is the only change to the squad of 17 used by coach Nathan Brown in the 20-18 loss to Gold Coast Titans.

Led by Kiwis coach Michael Maguire, the Tigers are also chasing their maiden win of 2022, after falling to Melbourne Storm and Newcastle Knights to open their campaign.

The Warriors have won four of their last five encounters against the Sydneysiders but have lost all five of their previous visits to Campbelltown Stadium.
