Super Rugby Pacific: Hoskins Sotutu re-signs with Blues through to 2024

The Blues have been boosted with the re-signing of another key player, as Hoskins Sotutu has extended his contract for another two years.

With Caleb Clarke and Stephen Perofeta extending their time at the Auckland side earlier this week, Sotutu has re-committed through until the end of 2024.

"I just enjoy coming to work every day," Sotutu said. "There's a great feeling in the club. We are lucky to have such great coaches and it's awesome to be part of the Blues family."

The 23-year-old has become coach Leon MacDonald's go-to in the No.8 jersey in Super Rugby, as the Blues won Super Rugby Trans-Tasman in 2021 and finished runners-up in this year's inaugural Super Rugby Pacific.

"Hoskins has all the skills and attributes to become one of the game's best No 8s," MacDonald said.

"He has size, speed and supreme skills. Hoskins continues to amaze us with his skillset.

"He is a good young man and a dedicated athlete. The rugby world could be at his feet if he can realise all of his talents."

Sotutu's form for the Blues saw him given his All Blacks debut by Ian Foster in 2020, going on to make 10 test appearances since.
