NBA: Kiwi Steven Adams goes viral for teaching young fan lesson in manners

Steven Adams' lesson in manners to a young NBA fan has gone viral, after he was asked to sign his hat.

As the Memphis Grizzlies centre made his way towards the arena tunnel, the boy asked for his signature - which Adams quickly rejected.

He shook his head and said "no", before asking the young fan, "what do you say?", looking for the typically accustomed "please".

The boy responded, which Adams met with a "lovely", before signing the hat and handing it back to him.

It's not the first time Adams has dealt a lesson in manners, having famously called out an interrupting reporter in 2018.

The imposing big man has been in impressive form for the seventh-placed Western Conference Grizzlies, with four double-doubles for the season.

Adams has been dominant on the boards, including a 16-rebound performance in his last game against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday.
