Central Stags batter Will Young has given Blackcaps selectors a reminder of his talents with a blistering knock in the Super Smash domestic T20 competition.
Auckland spinner Louis Delport was on the receiving end, as Young took 30 off one over, sending five consecutive deliveries over the rope at Eden Park's outer oval, although he couldn't quite achieve the rare feat of six in six balls.
Delport had the last laugh, as Young was caught in the outfield of the final ball of the spinner's over.
Young was part of the New Zealand test squad in Pakistan, but returned before the white-ball leg of the subcontinent tour, which continues with a one-day series against India next week.
His flurry for the Stags came as they chased Auckland's 191/8 off 20 overs, with rain closing in on the venue. Play ended with Central at 108/2 in the 10th over, giving them a 29-run victory via Duckworth Lewis Stern method.
