Bangladesh batter Ritu Moni suffered the ignominy of being dismissed in the most spectacular runout of the women's Twenty20 World Cup, so far.
In her side's tournament opener, a seven wicket defeat to Sri Lanka at Cape Town, all-rounder Moni was the architect of her own demise.
As the right-hander tapped a ball from Chamari Athapaththu into the offside, Moni set off for what should have been a comfortable run, with partner Shorna Akter running to the danger end.
However, fielder Sugandika Kumari swooped from point and threw down the stumps at the bowler's end, leaving Athapaththu having to quickly get her right leg out of the way quickly.
Thinking the throw would go to the batter's end, Moni eased up on her way to safety, as the ball bounced through Athapaththu's legs, hitting the stumps and running out the Bangladesh batter for two.
The wicket fell as Bangladesh struggled in their innings, scoring 126/8 from their 20 overs.
In response, Sri Lanka were quickly in trouble - reduced to 25/3 inside the batting power play.
But an unbroken partnership of 104 runs between Harshitha Samarawickrama (69 not out) and Nilakshi de Silva (41 not out) saw Sri Lanka tick off the runs required, and got home with 10 balls and seven wickets up their sleeve.
Sri Lanka's win, their second after opening the tournament with a victory over hosts South Africa, took them top of group one of the T20 World Cup, while Bangladesh dropped to second-to-last, with only New Zealand propping up the table.
