Israel Adesanya praises controversial social media star Andrew Tate for keeping men 'accountable'

Kiwi UFC champion Israel Adesanya has praised controversial social media star Andrew Tate for pushing men to be accountable.

Adesanya, who recently reclaimed the UFC middleweight crown with a spectacular knockout win over Alex Pereira earlier this month, appeared on the Broso YouTube channel earlier this week.

The Kiwi UFC star Adesanya praised Tate, Canadian psychologist Jordan Peterson and retired US Navy SEAL David Goggins, whose motivational tactics helped men turn their lives around, and talked about the positive effect each of the men has on other men.

"Jordan [Peterson], Andrew [Tate], Dave Goggins. Guys like that, they're the ones who are really pushing men to be accountable as men," Adesanya said on the Broso YouTube channel.

"The world right now is trying to soften us. I mean, what did they say? Jordan actually said how you were back in the day, if someone like the kings and whatnot wanna stop an uproar or an uprising, would kill all the fighting-age males. Can't kill them right now so what do you do? You p***ify them. Make them feel emasculated. Literally.

"You just have to take a stand. I know who I am. I know who you are, and I like the fact that we have a crew of people who actually stand. ... And we're all different people. Different walks of life I'm sure. I don't want to get too much into it, but everyone in here has different beliefs, and different mentalities.

"Even I hear politics and stuff and they rizz on each other for it. It's funny, but at the end of the day, we're all brothers. We're still a community and fighting brings us together. I feel like that's how the world should be. Brings the world together bro."

This isn't the first time Adesanya has praised Tate, telling Mirror Fighting last year ahead of his first UFC meeting with Pereira: "I didn't know him when he was kick-boxing. But there was a time maybe a few months ago, before he got 'cancelled' - you can't cancel anyone - when he just started to pop up on my Instagram and my Youtube and I was like, 'Who the f*** is this guy?'

"Then I was listening to guys like Andrew Schulz talk about the smart system he did. I'm paraphrasing, but he paid people to post or make pages about him and just flood the internet. If he created that marketing strategy, that's a genius way to get [out there] because he was on everybody's page. I never really followed his career as a kick-boxer, I don't know what he's doing now."

Andrew Tate, a divisive internet personality, and his brother Tristan were arrested in December 2022 in Romania's capital Bucharest and spent months in jail on suspicion of organised crime and human trafficking.

Earlier this month, the pair were moved from custody to house arrest following a ruling by a Romanian judge.

The pair have denied the allegations.
