NRL: NZ Warriors lose Wayde Egan, Dylan Walker for clash with Brisbane Broncos in Napier

NZ Warriors will be without hooker Wayde Egan and utility Dylan Walker for their trip to Napier to face Brisbane Broncos on Saturday.

With Egan nursing a calf injury, Freddy Lussick steps into the No. 9 jersey, while Jackson Ford returns from a head knock to start in the second row, shifting Josh Curran back to the bench.

Two-game rookie Demitric Sifakula is added to the bench alongside Bayley Sironen and Tom Ale.

As reported earlier, Luke Metcalf - after missing the first 10 rounds with a hamstring injury - will make his club debut in the halves, pairing with Shaun Johnson.

McLean Park is sold out for the club's first match in Napier but the second NRL match played in the Hawke’s Bay, where local hero Tohu Harris will lead his side.

Meanwhile, Brisbane Broncos will be without five of their big guns, with Reece Walsh, Selwyn Cobbo, Pat Carrigan, Payne Haas, and Thomas Flegler all absent on State of Origin duty.
