Tennis: Swede Mikael Ymer exits ATP Lyon Open after smashing racket against umpire's chair

Swedish tennis ace Mikael Ymer has earned an early exit from his second round match at the Lyon Open, after attacking the umpire's chair with his racket.

Ymer had just lost a game to trail 6-5 in the opening set against Frenchman Arthur Fils, when he completely lost his temper, taking his frustrations out on the nearest courtside furniture.

His tirade left a hole in the raised chair and tournament officials had no choice, but to show him the door, awarding the match to Fils, who moves on to the quarter-finals.

World No.53 Ymer, 24, had beaten ASB Classic champion Richard Gasquet in his opening match, but has yet to win an ATP singles title in his seven-year professional career.

Fils will now face Canadian top seed Felix Auger-Aliassime in the final eight.
