The final spots for next month's Hamilton Darts Masters have been decided at Christchurch this weekend.
Close to 100 of the country's best players stepped up to the oche, looking to book a match against world champions like Peter 'Snake Bite' Wright and Michael Smith.
"Darts is life to me," Darren Herewini told Newshub.
"To be on that stage with the world No.1, that's a big achievement," added Mark Cleaver.
Before you get to take on the likes of 'Snake Bite' and Gerwyn 'The Iceman' Price, you've got to get past the likes of 'Apocalypse', 'Maestro', 'CC', 'Superfly' and 'Wozza'.
Before you're televised across the globe, you first need to perform in the dart hall at the Black Horse Hotel.
While you can grab a big bottle of Speights for $12, the trick is to pace yourself.
"There's an art to drinking, as well as playing darts," added Cleaver.
"We know what we need to do, nutrition-wise and food, before we come into these tournaments," said Stu Irwin.
"You've got to pace yourself throughout the day," Jimmy Samuels told Newshub. "Yesterday was quite hard, because you had some tense moments."
After more than eight hours of action, the last of five Kiwis to compete in next month's Hamilton Darts Masters was decided, as Jonny Tata defeated Jonty Reede in the final.
"I'm looking forward to it," Tata told Newshub. "That's all I can say."
The world's best should watch out, the Kiwis won't be easybeats on home soil.
