Kia ora, good evening and welcome to live coverage of the Silver Ferns' first game of the second stage of the Netball World Cup, taking on Wales in Cape Town.

After three straight victories in preliminary stage one, the Silver Ferns have topped Group D, and now advance to the six-strong Group G, with South Africa, Wales and Jamaica joining them.

The Ferns will play the three new opposition over the next three nights, with the top two sides to advance to the semi-finals.

Up first is Wales, but Dame Noeline Taurua's side are without shooter Grace Nweke, rested after an apparent knee injury in Sunday's victory against Singapore.

Wales, so far, have just one win at this tournament, but gave a good account of themselves in the opening match against South Africa, losing 61-50.

The Silver Ferns will likely use tonight as a final warm-up, before meeting South Africa on Wednesday, and Jamaica on Thursday.

Play begins at 9pm NZT.
