Kiwi flyweight Kai Kara-France has added his name to the billing for the UFC's long-awaited return 'downunder'.

'Don't Blink' will square off with Manel Kape on the main card of UFC 293, which will take place at Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena on September 10.

Fifth-ranked Kara-France (24-11) will be out to snap a two-fight losing skid, after his highly contentious split-decision defeat to Amir Albazi at Las Vegas last month.

Angolan Kape (18-6) - ranked No.9 - is riding a three-fight win streak, with his most recent victory coming against David Dvorak, via unanimous decision, in December.

The event is expected to be headlined by Kiwi Israel Adesanya's middleweight title defence against South African Dricus du Plessis, although the bout is yet to be made official.

The card will heavily feature fighters from Australasian shores, with City Kickboxing teammates Carlos Ulberg already confirmed to fight Korean Da Woon Jung. Shane Young and Blood Diamond are also poised to be added to the line-up.

Australian cult hero Tai Tuivasa's heavyweight clash with Alexander Volkov has already been announced, as has Aussie Casey O'Neill's women's flyweight showdown with Viviane Araujo.

The event will be the first to take place in Oceania, since the UFC Fight Night at Auckland in February 2020.
