Canterbury believe they have a 'top-lip-secret recipe' to defeat Auckland in the Ford Trophy final - coach Peter Fulton's lucky moustache.
Fulton has found himself in a hairy situation, with his team refusing to let him get rid of his magnificent 'stache.
Despite a couple of close shaves, Canterbury have remained unbeaten in all formats, since Fulton turned up to training with the slug last month.
"We haven't lost yet, so I thought it would be rude to take it off before the final," Fulton told Newshub. "Cricketers are pretty supersticious people."
Captain Cole Mcconchie agrees: "I think his wife Libby won't be too happy, but as long as we keep winning, he can keep that on.
"I think it looks good on the big fella."
Victory would likely be extra sweet for the coach, due to his lucky flavour-saver.
