French rugby star Antoine Dupont has raised eyebrows on social media, posing with a vintage NZ Warriors jersey, on the eve of his Olympics sevens campaign.
The outstanding halfback could not deliver a 15s World Cup on home soil last year, with France stumbling to eventual champions South Africa in the quarter-finals, but he hopes to rectify that in the abbreviated form of the game at Paris next month.
Dupont was named World Sevens Rookie of the Year, after leading his country to victory in the series final against Argentina at Madrid last month.
His love of oval-ball codes obviously extends beyond union, as he lends his weight to the 'Up the Wahs' movement, sporting an old school DB Bitter-sponsored jersey on Twitter.
