YouTube is aware of issues that users are having issues accessing its services and is working on a fix, the company had said.
In a tweet the Alphabet-owned company said using the navigation bar was among the issues users faced.
According to the company, other problems include users being unable to sign-in or switch accounts, not being able to use the apps on gaming consoles and 'no internet connection' error messages when watching videos.
Outage-tracking website Downdetector.com showed there were nearly 9000 incidents of people reporting issues with YouTube in the United States, with similar issues being seen in Aotearoa.
Users also reported issues with accessing live television platform YouTube TV, according to Downdetector, which tracks outages by collating status reports from a number of sources, including user-submitted errors on its platform.
