If you have any Hawaii-related travel plans, the ongoing Kilauea eruption may have left you a little on edge.
So we've pulled together the best bits of a Hawaiian Airlines FAQ which should put any Kilauea concerns you have at ease.
Hawaiian Airlines will continue to operate all services as normal
Hawaiian Airlines have said they're operating all flights as normal, including their five times a week Auckland to Honolulu service, along with all flights to Kilauea's Island of Hawaii.
This includes operations at:
- Kona International Airport, 161 kilometres from Kilauea
- Hilo International Airport, 48 kilometres from Kilauea
However this doesn't mean the airline is complacent in regards to safety, Hawaiian's vice president of flight operations Ken Rewick says.
"Safety is our primary concern, and the flight activity that is currently under way is completely safe," Mr Rewick says.
"We are extremely conservative when it comes to flight operations and we monitor conditions on an ongoing basis."
The airline has also said they have ground based teams that are in regular contact with state and federal agencies which monitor air quality for potential hazards.
However guests with respiratory disorders visiting the Island of Hawaii are advised to monitor air quality readings due to the presence of vog (volcanic fog).
Visitors are also advised to avoid hazardous areas close to lava activity within the Puna District.
