Travel Agency House of Travel is holding a 'travel bazaar' in Auckland this weekend, and bargain hunting travellers are in for some good deals.
The standout is the return economy fare to Rome that's on sale for $989 per person.
There will also be deals for destinations closer to home, with airfares to Los Angeles from $899 and Fiji from $499 per person.
The bazaar has deals from more than 20 airlines, 15 tour companies, cruise experts and travel specialists.
With fuel prices on the rise, the deal is timely for those after cheap airfares.
"New Zealanders have benefitted from some very competitive airfare pricing over the last couple of years, due to favourable fuel pricing and an increase in capacity, new routes and carriers in the market helping to sustain competition," said Brent Thomas of House of Travel.
One of the most popular destinations for Kiwis is Hawaii. The destination has seen a massive increase in tourists from New Zealand since Hawaiian Airlines entered the market and made the route more competitive.
House of Travel will offer return economy class fares to Hawaii from $589 per person at this Sunday's event.
Bali is also attracting more Kiwis. Emirates is starting its new Auckland to Bali service next week. Airfares to Bali at the House of Travel event will be as low as $699.
