New Air NZ safety video reaches six million views in less than a day

Air New Zealand's latest safety video has been watched six million times by people all around the world in less than a day.

The '90s themed video, entitled 'It's Kiwi Safety', has been featured on CNN, the Daily Mail, the Evening Standard and Mashable.

Jodi Williams from Air NZ says she's thrilled with the response.

"We've had some great feedback through our social media channels with millions of viewers enjoying the music video style approach we have taken with 'It's Kiwi Safety'," she says.

The video has a cast of over 600, including Kiwi actor Julian Dennison, local musicians Kings, Theia and Randa, as well as members of around 30 community groups from across Aotearoa.

Kings and Randa feature in the video performing 'It's Kiwi', a remake of the RUN-DMC song 'It's Tricky'.
