Boeing reveals most luxurious business jet ever

Boeing has unveiled their biggest and most luxurious business jet ever, and it not only looks good, it 's record-breaking too.

The new BBJ 777X can fly further than any other business jet ever built.

With a maximum range of 21,570 kilometres, the BBJ 777X will be able turn routes that currently require two flights into non-stop journeys.

As shown in the map below, the jet could fly directly from Auckland to cities like New York, Berlin and Rome. Only the areas within the circle would be out of range.

"Our most exclusive customers want to travel with the best space and comfort and fly directly to their destination. The new BBJ 777X will be able to do this like no other airplane before it, redefining ultra-long range VIP travel," said Greg Laxton, head of Boeing Business Jets.

Boeing has also unveiled a series of interior design concepts from Greenpoint Technologies, Jet Aviation and Unique Aircraft Design.

So far Boeing has received 21 orders for the smaller BBJ Max aircraft, but the identity of those who made the purchase remain unknown.

As for who could be in the market for some of these aircraft, Donald Trump would likely be keen, as would the world's richest man, Jeff Bezos, who could buy 320 of them. Mark Zuckerberg could purchase around 120 of them. New Zealand's richest person, Graeme Hart could swap his billions for 16 of the luxury aircraft.

The extra-long-haul capabilities of the Boeing 777X has sparked the interest of Qantas who are keen to launch a non-stop Sydney to London service by 2022.
