The confusion over where you should meet your Uber driver at Auckland International Airport has finally been put to rest, with the announcement of an official Uber pick-up zone.
From Wednesday March 20, a dedicated rideshare area will be available at both the domestic and international terminals of Auckland Airport.
Uber NZ's Amanda Gilmore is pleased the airport has jumped onboard.
"Facilitating travel to and from airports nationwide is a massive focus for us. Redefining the way people think about transport and streamlining how people move around cities is crucial to the future of city infrastructure in New Zealand."
Uber is also installing new digital billboards directing customers to the dedicated rideshare pick-up zones at both domestic and international terminals.
So where are they?
If you are being dropped off at Auckland International Airport, you can expect to be left outside the departures hall, just like you would be if a friend or family member was dropping you off.
If you have just landed at the international terminal and need a ride, then the new zone is located outside door 11 next to McDonald's in the arrival hall.
For domestic travellers, the ride share area for pick-up and drop-off is located at the rear of the multi-storey parking building.
