The hair-raising moment Luke Miller hiked across the nearly 200m high cliffs of Sturrall, Ireland has been captured on video.
The 800m long walk is lined on both sides with a steep drop to the roaring ocean below.
Luke, who comes from County Donegal, trailed across the knife-edge mountain ridge with just a rope tied to his dad, Iain Miller.
In the footage, Luke is seen calmly making his way across the ridges - seemingly unconcerned by the terrifying drops on both sides.
Iain, who is also a mountain climbing instructor, said it was a video on the internet that got his son interested.
"Last summer, Luke was watching on YouTube a video of me climbing a sea stack, and declared that he wanted to do it too," Iain said.
After a winter of training on near-by Cruit Island, the duo took on the jaggered cliff face upon the arrival of warmer summer temperatures.
"Then we waited for a sunny and wind-free day when we could finally take on the Sturrall," Luke's dad said.
"The Sturrall is one of the most outstanding sea cliff features in Ireland, a true monster of headland sitting isolated and far from the real world on the southwest corner of County Donegal."
Despite the extreme and inaccessible nature of the walk, little Luke seemed un-phased, the video ending as he asks his father if it's time for lunch.
Iain put the daring walk into perspective, underlining how much planning and attention goes into the climb compared to other day-to-day activities.
"Although the video looks dangerous, the most dangerous thing we did that day was driving to and from the location, the actual ascent was very safe thanks mostly to my expertise."
Iain said he would not have done the walk if there was any danger to his five-year-old son.
